The B\u00e1ha\u2019\u00ed Faith affirms the absolute unity and singleness of God Whose exalted Essence transcends human under-standing.\u00a0 It recognizes the divine origin of the Founders of all religions through whom is \u201ctransmitted a grace that is infinite\u201d, and whose successive missions are intended to deepen the ties of love among the nations. Baha\u2019u\u2019ll\u00e1h (1817-1892), an exile and prisoner of the Persian and Ottoman governments for most of His life, prophesized that the peace of the planet will gradually and inevitably be established within a mature, world encompassing civilization, founded on the fundamental principle of the oneness of the human race and spiritual teachings in harmony with science.<\/p>\n
B\u00e1ha\u2019\u00eds strive to know God, to love all people, to build strong families and communities and to serve humanity.\u00a0 Members of the Faith throughout the world are engaged with their neighbours in holding gatherings for worship, the education of children and youth, and promoting teachings such as the independent investigation of truth, unity in diversity, the equality of women and men, the science of consultation and the establishment of global justice.<\/p>\n
There are many B\u00e1ha\u2019\u00ed Writings which cast light on the three intrinsic values enunciated by the Humanics Institute. Baha\u2019u\u2019ll\u00e1h\u2019s successor and interpreter, His Son \u2018Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u00e1, whose travel in 1912 across the United States and Canada was front page news for more than nine months, declared:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first teaching is that man should investigate reality…Reality is one and when found, it will unify all mankind.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026although individuals may differ in development and capacity, they are essentially and\u00a0 intrinsically equal as human beings, just as the waves of the sea are innumerable and different, but the reality of the sea is one.\u201d Baha\u2019u\u2019llah wrote: \u201c\u201cO son of man! If thine eyes be turned towards mercy, forsake the things that profit 30 thee, and cleave unto that which will profit mankind. And if thine eyes be turned towards justice, choose thou for thy neighbor that which thou choosest for thyself.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026you will find the smallest atoms to be similar in their general structure to the greatest entities in the universe, and it is clear that they have proceeded from one laboratory of might according to one natural order and one universal law.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the Humanics Sanctuary a site has been reserved for sculptures or plaques of Baha\u2019i that portrays the three essential values that the Humanics Institute is meant to promote.\u00a0 The Institute would appreciate if Individuals or groups belonging to the Baha\u2019i faith, could volunteer to work with the Institute to develop this site with relevant sculptures or plaques and appropriate landscaping.<\/p>\n
